Reset is an original woodland oil painting created after a plein air session at Raleigh Racquet Club.
After his first tennis training session at Raleigh Racquet Club, most players reached for their phones during the break.
Ticiano reached for his paint box.
Just across from the courts, he found a quiet patch of woodland where sunlight filtered gently through layers of fresh summer leaves. While the sounds of tennis continued in the distance, he settled into the stillness of the forest, painting directly from observation.
For Ticiano, painting has never been separate from tennis. It is his way of slowing down, clearing his mind, and returning to himself. What begins as a walk into the woods often becomes a moment of quiet renewal before stepping back onto the court.
Reset reflects that experience. Rather than focusing on individual trees or detailed scenery, the painting captures the feeling of renewal—the calm that comes from being fully present in nature before returning to the rhythm of everyday life.
